PAINTING | OIL + WATER MEDIA
Beverly Perdue has been recognized by Artist Magazine as a “rising watercolor star.” She has had representation and won national and international acclaim for her paintings. In her paintings, she strives for more than a camera or the eye records. She seeks to speak through her work and reinterpret nature through the use of brilliant color. Bev paints in a variety of media, specializing in water media and oils. By painting en plein air, she must make quick, instinctive decisions. Some of the locations where she paints are Italy, France, Maine and its coastal islands, New Mexico, and Anguilla (in the West Indies), where she has gallery representation.
Bev has completed and won signature membership in prestigious nationally and internationally recognized art societies, such as the American Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society, and New York’s Catherine Lorillord Wolfe Art Club. Bev says, “My goal is to paint what an apple tastes like, not just what it looks like."
