Dare Boles’ paper collage art reflects her concerns for women’s issues around the world. Whether in the villages of Africa, the tribes of the Middle East, or the housing projects of the U.S., there is a need for empowerment. Dare also manipulates papers to interpret words in poetry and song lyrics.
An artist for more than 30 years, Dare has explored the mediums of pastel, oil, and acrylics before finding her true calling as an artist working in collage. She is a Signature Member of the National Collage Society and founder of the Virginia Collage Society.
Dare shows her work at Ceres Gallery in New York City; Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, Virginia; and in juried shows throughout the U.S.
