August Session #2
Wednesdays, September 13–October 4 | 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Drawing is essential for all artists and beginning artists. This class will focus on simple forms with different surface qualities and how to portray the effects of light to create reflection, depth, and realism. At the end of the classes, students will learn not only how to draw, but how to create a powerful composition that tell a story and leads the viewer’s eye through the drawing.
Learn drawing techniques for mapping; drawing and lifting with a kneaded eraser; working with hard and soft pencils and charcoal; establishing accurate proportions, angles, and perspective; building simple forms; and creating a variety of surface textures. Demonstrations given by the instructor. Fee: $125 per session (4 classes).
