Crossroads Art Center exhibits the work of emerging and established mid-Atlantic artists and promotes awareness and understanding of art forms, from crafts to fine art. The gallery represents more than 225 artists and is a cultural resource and an active participant in Richmond's thriving arts community.


In addition to more than 25,000 square feet of art exhibition space, Crossroads offers art classes and workshops to the general public and provides space rental for special events. Crossroads’ broad client base comprises private collectors, art and corporate consultants, architects, and interior designers, among others.

Arrangements: Still Life and More

A group exhibition by the Virginia Collage Society features members work with a variety of themes and styles.

Town & Country

Featuring the work of watercolorists Bobby Wiltshire and Christopher Wynn, this exhibition showcases painting of urban Richmond and the surrounding rural counties.

Water Is Key, Water Is Life

Featuring the collage work of Dare Boles, Signature Member of the National Collage Society and founder of the Virginia Collage Society.

Inspired by Light

A collection of paintings by David Cressman exploring light and atmospheric effects in various European cities and Morocco. Painting multiple versions of the same views, the true subject of each painting is light.

Crossroads All-Media Juried Show

Crossroads' all-media shows are open to mid-Atlantic artists through a bimonthly Call for Entries. Each show is juried by a prominent arts professional, and cash prizes are awarded. Artist are encourage to submit bike-themed artwork for inclusion to celebrate the UCI World Championships in Richmond September 19–27.



Crossroads Members' Show

Members of Crossroads Art Center are encouraged to submit work for the September Members' Show to be held in Classroom One of Building III.  Member artists may enter one piece for a $10 fee. If an artist is not a member and wishes to participate, he or she may join at the time of entry.




Art Out Front

"We're artists. We're students. We're professionals. We’re always looking for more time to do more art. So we decided to put our art out front … pop-up style." Featuring the work of Craig Nicol, Renee Hall, Tamara Privitera, Chase Farmer, and Gwen Parker.

Exhibitions through November 9

The September 18 through November 9 exhibitions include shows by Bobby Wiltshire and Christopher Wynn, Dare Boles, the Virginia Collage Society, and David Cressman. The nonprofit sponsor of these exhibitions is Henrico CASA. The September Juried All-Media Show features hundreds of individual artists' work, many of which are bike-themed to celebrate the UCI World Championships in Richmond from September 19–27. And the Members' Show is in Classroom One.
