“My world: Wow, what a place! The minute you stop dreaming, you stop living.” — M. Keeling
Mike Keeling began creating art with encouragement from one person, and it took one night to change from an excited viewer of art in all mediums to making art that beings in the soul and ends with a smile. He is content to create using paint and canvas, torches and steel, or sharing life as it happens through the lens of a camera.
Mike has studied at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts school, however his art education began years ago on numerous camping trips in southeast Asia. He noticed light working its way through a triple-canopied jungle or the color of an early morning fog when the sun first hits it. He was inspired by the feeling of being alive and bombarded with so many color sensations; this sort of inspiration has no limits.
