"I am fascinated with the complexity and beauty of form. My goal is to share the feels of hope, love and human potential visually."
Sussan Afrasiabian was born in Tehran, Iran, and has always been fascinated by the arts, pursuing this passion since high school. Studying the art of sculpture while working with troubled children has influenced her painting style dramatically.
Sussan has a strong sense of commitment to solving the plight of modern humanity, and she contributes her time and works of art to various international fundraising events and art shows. Through the years, her desire to demonstrate the beauty of life through artwork has increased; she feels that the prevailing goodness of humankind will leave us with the gift of hope and a better life.
Sussan has received numerous awards for her work in the United States and abroad. In 1993, she participated in an exhibition presented by the Iranian Contemporary Museum of art. The show introduced contemporary Iranian artists, and one of her paintings — Breakfast, 30x40 inches — was purchased by the museum.
