“To photograph: it is to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye, and the heart.” — Henri Cartier-Bresson
Wendy Goodman is a travel photographer and world culture enthusiast. Since 2009, she has been engaged in capturing street photography during experiences around the globe — in Africa, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, and beyond. Her latest passion comes from recent travels to Cuba, where her experience started with a photography workshop in May 2013; a second trip followed in December of the same year. She plans to return in April 2015 to continue to document the people, architecture, and culture of a country that has been a mystery to most U.S. citizens until recently.
Wendy enjoys the quest to connect in her photography and to work towards revealing an emotional element in her images. Her mission is to document and provide the viewer with a deep engagement of people and place. Through her own love of seeking this connection, she hopes to portray feeling through each image and an attachment that goes beyond a photo. Her goal is to exhibit work that communicates a story through a photojournalistic eye.
