A solar aberration is a disturbance in the geomagnetic field. These fields are found at the poles of a planet. This painting shows one such aberration as recorded by British Terra Nova Expedition in November 1911. From the Antarctic Exhibition Toward The Unknown Region -- artwork based on the journals of Captain Robert Falcon Scott's Ill-fated Terra Nova Expedition, Antarctica, 1910-1913. Acrylic on canvas.
