This piece reminds me of some of my most fond moments, going to McDonald’s with my Mom and Dad, and getting a chicken nugget Happy Meal with sweet and sour sauce. My hard working mother pulling her wallet out of her handbag to make me happy, while we enjoy our delicious morsels.

Artist Statement:

I am an artist and leather worker in RVA who works with leather samples obtained from cast-offs from other small leather businesses or retired leather furniture samples. My style is whimsical and unique and often calls back to my childhood with colorful hand painted leather jewelry and accessories.
