In 2008, I painted in the Russian cites of Moscow and St. Petersburg. This 2019 studio painting is inspired by that experience, and depicts the Gothic architecture of Moscow State University mirrored in a reflecting pool. While the architecture of the building is beautiful, what really impressed me was the distortion of the architecture in the reflection.
