I was looking for a work that would make folks think.

Artist's Statement:

I paint with plantlife.  Some call it pressed flower art, but to me, that art is designed to look like the natural state of the flowers.  I use a plant's color and texture to create real life representations.  I have been creating my art for about five years, with no training at all.  My mother-in-law was a pressed flower artist, and my wife dabbled in it a bit, but I enjoyed it enough to continue.  I have now been in three large art shows, and continue to change perceptions as to whether what I do is truly art.  I am a member of the Worldwide Pressed Flower Guild.
