I have done a number of sunsets with this media, which media seems ideally suited to the explosion of color that is a sunset. I challenged myself to try to capture the rapture and peacefulness of a full moon over land and water. I find great serenity in this piece.

Artist's Statement:

Everything that excites me about producing art starts with COLOR! I love finding mediums that allow me to express myself through vibrant color.  I am constantly amazed at how color captures and expresses emotions and, in some cases, illustrates ideas and events.  At the same time, most of my work is abstract, but can still be used to illustrate ideas and feelings, for example, the disaster, despair, and bloodshed in Ukraine.  Each piece is an exciting adventure.
