Diana Robinson
Art has always been a passion of Dianas since a young age. She has always enjoyed studying art history, producing art, and visiting art museums. That passion took her to a docent position at the Virginia Museum of Fine arts over two decades ago. In recent years she has served as gallery manager at For Art’s Sake Gallery and Studio for 5 years which provided the opportunity to own the gallery for the next seven years. Diana spends her time curating and judging shows as well as teaching fine art classes and managing the gallery, studio and frame shop. Diana paints in oils and pastels and enjoys taking workshops taught by other talented instructors. She shows her work as a member of the Virginia Plein Air Painters, Mid Atlantic Pastel Society and James River Art League where she has served on the board as Gallery Co-chair and on the outreach committee. Diana has also served on the board of Art for the Journey for the past 5 years. The non-profit provides art therapy to adults with Alzheimers, incarcerated women, and underprivileged school children. Diana gathers inspiration for her paintings from trips she has taken to Europe, Mexico, Canada, and throughout the U.S.
