Impression of visual patterns in a forest.

Artist's Statement:

I create paintings of the outside world - landscapes, skyscapes and objects that interest me.

My home in beautiful rural Virginia provides much of the inspiration for my paintings.

I base a painting on something I see or experience outdoors - beauty, the spirit of the place or an idea that it would make an effective painting.

By making the painting, my hope is that I capture some of that original experience in such a way that it can be shared with the viewer.
