Laura Bobbiesi
Laura Bobbiesi is a self-taught traditional artist and illustrator, working mostly with watercolor and ink. She spent the first part of her career as a cartographer before slowly making the transition to fine art and illustration. Laura has illustrated four children’s books and is the co-owner of a small local art and book publishing company, Bobi Studios. She is a storyteller at heart, whose language is art, and this is reflected in her paintings, which often blur the line between illustration and art. When she is not painting, Laura can be found anywhere there is a river or swimming hole, riding her bike down windy back roads and watching old cartoons late at night while the world sleeps.
