Linda Dessaint
Linda Dessaint, PSME, PSNH
Growing up in rural New Hampshire Linda Dessaint found magic and joy in
nature. And as she grew and traveled, this source of inspiration has never
changed! Now living in Virginia, Linda enjoys plein air painting and also paints
from her own photos. Over the past 25 years she has been creating soft pastel
and oil paintings. Linda has won many awards in national and international
exhibitions. In 2010 Linda earned Signature Membership with the Pastel Society
of Maine, and in 2014 Signature Membership with the Pastel Society of New
Hampshire. She is also a juried associate member of the Pastel Society of
America (2014), the American Impressionist Society (2017) and the Oil Painters
of America (2015). Her works are collected across the United States and Europe.

Artist Statement: "Capturing emotion through light and shadows, colors and shapes,
thought and instinct….this is art for me. My intention is to convey the energy of the
moment into an experience for everyone. The constant change and beauty of the
shifting seasons inspires me. I am grateful for the support and love of my wonderful
family and friends who have taught me to appreciate and look closely at nature, at life."
