“Cold Spell” is inspired by a solitary walk on a very cold and clear night. I hoped to capture the experience of viewing the white snow reflecting the light of the moon, the touch of a biting wind on the face and the sound of absolute quiet.

Artist's Statement:

I create abstract acrylic and mixed media paintings that are simply beautiful. I am inspired by common, human experiences that evoke wonder or awe, and connect us as humans such as a solitary walk in the woods on a crisp fall day, a baby's laugh or a warm hug at a trying time. If the viewer senses an echo of such experiences, I have succeeded.
