Inverno: Winter's Waterfall
24" x 18"
Acrylic, gouache and pastel on canvas
$2150
Inverno means ‘winter’ in the Italian language. The scene depicts an early morning encounter with a frozen waterfall nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The perspective is a unique one: here the viewer looks up to the waterfall. The tree trunks and ethereal blue horizon line top the first quarter of the canvas. This work was first exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, New York City in 2016. The work comes beautifully framed.
