Pam Landreth

Pam Landreth was born and currently resides in Virginia.  Throughout her life she has enjoyed being out in nature.  Her camera is her constant companion allowing her to capture the natural beauty so she can bring it home to relive the experience.  Those captured images then flow into her brush giving life to her paintings.

For most of her life, Pam painted with watercolor and acrylic.  At the time, painting was a hobby and one that was enjoyed in between work and family life.  In 2018 Pam moved into her home by a lake and began looking for a wildlife artist as a mentor.  She was now free to immerse herself in art and all the nooks and crannies it offered.  After a year of searching, she joined a mentoring course with Robert L. Caldwell, an award-winning wildlife artist, who helped her move into the oil medium and gave her a robust introduction to color theory, composition and use of photography.

Since that time Pam has spent her days painting, educating herself in composition, art history and consuming art of all types.  Pam's favorite art form is realism and that is the path she is currently taking.  She especially loves the idea of creating her own snapshot of the natural world.  Many of the images are recreated from her journeys at home and around the National Parks.

Until recently, Pam had reserved her work for friends and family. In 2024, Pam was juried in as an Exhibiting Member of the Bon Air Artists Association and began exhibiting her work.  "I feel I finally have my art wings and can't wait to see where they take me."
