Susan Cary

Susan Cary has been a practicing artist for many years. After
receiving a BA in Studio Art and a MA in Education , Susan spent
many years teaching children and pursuing her passion as an artist.
Susan now is enjoying life as a retired teacher and a full time artist.

Susan’s works are a combination of landscape, figurative, and still
life. She uses a mixture of acrylics, oils, watercolors, charcoal,
pastels, and graphite .Susan works outside either sketching, painting
with watercolor, or small acrylic "en plein air" works. These smaller
studies inform her larger paintings .

Susan shows her works in galleries, local art centers, and busineses.
Her works are owned by private collectors, businesses, and
corporations. She lives on a small farm in Goochland, Va. The beauty
of the landscape that surrounds her at home and during travels
provide inspiration for her paintings.
