Artist Statement:

Unlike other forms of painting I have been doing for the past 40 years, watercolor allows me to portray a single layer of emotion within a short span of time. Being able to work through different thoughts as the water guides me, I can take advantage of the unique factor of working with water, where you cannot fully predict what will happen next. The spontaneous decisions and adjustments allow me to depict feelings of fiery passion or moody solitude at a greater depth through my vibrant landscapes.
