This full-color book, published to benefit Reynolds Community College at the time of the artist’s gift of 50 artworks to the College’s art collection, chronicles the personal and professional life of JC Gilmore-Bryan whose credentials range from a Fulbright in Bulgaria, a CIES in Zimbabwe, and multi-residencies at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris. Each copy is signed. JC Gilmore-Bryan is a screenprint artist and longtime art instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, Virginia State University, and elsewhere. Her works have been exhibited in solo exhibitions locally at such venues as the Anderson Gallery and 1708 Gallery, and internationally including at Bulgaria’s National Academy of Art and Applied Arts the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris. Her formal art education includes an undergraduate degree from MTSU and graduate degrees from Vanderbilt and Columbia.
