Chapel Island Park is accessed from Great Shiplock Park, by a walkway over one the locks of the Kanawha Canal. It is one of Richmond's hidden jewels. This tree skirts the edge of the Island and the canal. The view is from Great Shiplock Park, at the end where it empties into the James River.
