This work was inspired by the festive, vivid colors that were painted in the first layers. As I painted layer upon layer, the painting had a feeling of excitement and fun! Then, when I lifted some of the top layers of paint off- it revealed the shapes, colors and mood of a Celebration! The lyrical lines and flow of this merry color lends itself to a feeling of happiness and joy in this painting!
