The Alfalma district of Lisbon is a very colorful and enchanting district where a labyrinth of cobblestone streets abut the medieval castle of Sâo Jorge. Here a guitarist, with his dog, play for a few coins that tourists can spare.

Artist Statement:

Normally a left brain person by day, I transform into a right brain person during the evenings and weekends when I translate past memories and experiences into color. I don’t strive for realism in my work as straight lines become non-linear and colors become amplified and exaggerated. For me, the vividness of bright hues, tints, and shades, using a variety of mediums, brings life to things that are all too often unobserved and taken for granted.
