This was captured in the Azores Islands in the evening and is almost heavenly as beams of light come from above

Artist's Statement:

I am a retired vascular surgeon who has lived and  practiced in Richmond Virginia since 1980.  I have been capturing digital imagery since 2000 and have been fortunate enough to have been awarded several awards in  photography.  My photographic passion is varied and includes world travel, wildlife, landscape and abstract photography.  I have utilized many media including metal, canvas and traditional print photography and is a co-owner of PhotoDistinctions (an imaging company) based in Richmond Va.
