Through a combination of peach and black hues, along with the inclusion of copper to symbolize steam, this piece invites viewers to explore the realms of imagination and symbolism. It reminds us that art has the ability to transcend its physical form and evoke emotions.

Artist's Statement:

For several years as a young man growing up outside of Philadelphia, I was very fortunate to study art under the amazing abstract artist, Barbara Crawford. In the early 1970s my family moved to Greenville, South Carolina where I continued to create art on a limited basis. Then, on to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I married my college sweetheart, Bonnie, and moved to Richmond, Virginia where I took a hiatus from art, joined the corporate world and focused on helping raise two phenomenal children. Recently, I have been able to, again, embrace my love of abstract art. Believing that an abstract canvas is an essential component of the abstract experience, I design, build, stretch, paint and frame all of my unique work. I’ve often said that the complexity of my work can be found in its simplicity.
