This is a Lucky a dog I rescued while living in the US Virgin Islands. He had the most amazing love-filled eyes of any dog I have ever met. It broke my heart to send him to his new Home in Denver. He has large family with canine and human siblings who worship him as much as I did.

Artist's Statement:

I am passionate about the beauty of nature. It feeds my soul. I’m happiest outside in nature painting, kayaking, or hiking. My acrylic paintings are an expression of my connection to the places I paint. In 2008, I moved to the US Virgin Islands where I painted, snorkeled, kayaked, sailed, and fire danced for nine years. Living in the bright light of the tropics feed my obsession with color. Back in Virginia in my studio in Reedville, I am again surrounded by inspiring landscapes. In my paintings I use my love of color to express the beauty I see around me. I paint scenes from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and the nearby rural farming communities. I am always pushing to find my creative voice and expressing it loudly with paint.
