Artist's Statement:
The images I photograph are always something deeply personal for me. Photography is one of the only tools we as humans have that allows us to travel back in time, and relive memories that would've been forgotten. Milliseconds barely comprehensible by the human eye are able to be seen with a single photograph. I especially value this when it comes to nature, my favorite thing to capture with a camera. Flaps of wings, wind rustling through fur, maws devouring a meal, all actions that would have once been nothing but a passing moment, now are able to live for eternity thanks to the wonder that is photography. I try to capture these fleeting moments with my camera, in the hope that someone else can see the beauty of the world that I experience. Hungarian photographer André Kertész once said that "There is no such thing as an everyday moment; every moment is extraordinary." and this is something that I believe deep in my soul. Every snapshot of nature I capture with my camera is a glimpse into a world we will never know, so why not enjoy that glimpse for as long as a photograph exists?
