Thinking about the endings it takes to have new blooms, new life. Loving the details of A Carcass by Baudelaire, all the details of fallen rotten trees. Embracing the grays in an inky sky, a wet car park.
Artist Statement:
Adam Triplett was born in Richmond, Virginia. He received his BFA in both Painting & Printmaking, and Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University. He pursued a minor in English and graduated from the Honors College. Diverse in style as he is in media: subjects have been expressionist energy, minimalist meditations, and classic portraiture and landscape. A traditional print designer for over ten years, photographer, music writer and performer, his first love is paint and mark-making.
Adam is a boxer, gardener, poem-goose. Pieces of work are meant to be the same as he lives his life, direct and in earnest. Artwork is supposed to impact, soothe and celebrate, give layers of understanding as you live with the art.
